If you don't mind me asking, where do you usually get your color inspiration from? Your palettes are gorgeous!
Oh thank you so much! I love the colours pink, blue and green and try to work around those whenever humanly possible XD Seriously though I usually just try to work with whatever feels good or right for the piece. I also try to keep my colour palettes pretty simple.
I think something that really got those into my brains were old Kirby and Sonic games, which I feel like have some really impeccable colour choices throughout the sprites and the levels and such. Nintendo games are usually on-point with colours I find. I think something that has inspired me more recently was the game Abzu, which is a game set primarily in or around water and uses a variety of palettes every level without just relying on blue. I also really like games like the Witcher 3 and Horizon Zero Dawn that use creative lighting to turn normal fields and forests into really dynamic looking settings.
Usually for a strong design you’ll probably want to be working with about 3-5 colours. Of course there are different tastes and rules depending on what you’re working on but it’s good to be wary of the colour range you want to go for so you don’t make something jarring or unfocused. Nothing in art is set in stone really. Theres also really good resources online– I follow @color-palettes which has a lot of cool examples and ideas for colour schemes. c:
