Sorry if this has been asked before, but I was curios as to why you seem to only or mostly do red/orange/yellow flames? Please don't take this the wrong way, I love your designs, just seemed curious to me. I'm assuming it's because the remade pokemon are strictly fire/fighting? However it still makes me wonder why some don't have black or pink flames, for example the pokemon who were originally dark or ghost types who retained their creepy/dark vibe would have dark flames and the psychics pink?
I try to keep that only for “special” pokemon… At the very begining I made Squirtle evos with purple flames (and also I made theme white because is the color of the potssium chloride wich is supposed to burn purple (also, also they are Waterbending btw))
I try to make variations in the flames, but the color is not the only way I try to do that, in some of them you can only see the smoke, others (like Sceptile) the shape os the flames is different, others (like Lickitung) have incandescent bodyparts
But yeah, most of them have a common flame because, you know… Common XD
Many times I think “ok, lets make more flame color variations” but then I completely forget that…
(God, some times I feel like I’m really bad at trying explain myself in english, hope you could understand everything)
